Providing Career Pathways in Hospitality
Southwark Hospitality Skills Hub has a commitment to source quality jobs for local residents. Recent data shows that there are currently over 121,000 unfilled Hospitality Vacancies across London, whilst in Southwark there are approximately 7,600 unemployed people over the age of 16. The SHSH aims to provide pathways for Southwark residents to take advantage of the many opportunities that exist within the sector, to secure an exciting and fulfilling career.
The Hospitality Skills Hub is open to all Southwark residents and we particularly welcome those who are unemployed or under-employed. We are able to help those who are working in other sectors and wish to move into the Hospitality Sector and although we have a particular focus on helping young people, who have yet to enter the job market, this service is available for all ages.
Having passed the essential eligibility criteria (ie residency address and right to work), each participant signing up to the HUB will be provided with a Personal Advisor. This Personal Advisor will work with them throughout their learning journey and into their career progression. Your learner journey will be personal to you and will be devised to meet your needs and take into account your starting point and your goals.
